Consumer

1. General :

1.1 Consumer sales/returns (between Premier Computer Solutions, PCS) and the customer/consumer(members of the public) are protected under UK law via the Distance Selling Act. Customers have the right to return any ordered product within 14 days of purchase. Goods must be returned in the original condition and packaging with all accessories as shipped(including power adapters, power leads, other accessories as ordered, etc and any software the customer has installed must be uninstalled prior to return. Once goods are inspected and passed to be fit for resale,  the customer shall receive a refund within 30 days of the product being returned back to Premier Computer Solutions. Most refunds are processed within 14 working days though. Customers are advised to send goods back with a suitable fully insured courier and mark the box FRAGILE. Original packing as used by PCS when the goods were sent must be used. Also any refund is less the original delivery charge, as we cannot claim this back from the courier. Its the customers liability to return the goods for a refund at their own courier cost.

Any software (on CD/DVDs) if included, must be returned sealed and fit for resale. Returns may be rejected and no refund made if any of the terms in Section 1.1 are violated. If this is the case its the customers responsibility to transit the rejected goods back to themselves within 14 working days of notification.

If a customer claims a fault and uses this as a basis to return goods for a refund then a restock charge of 20% plus original delivery cost will be taken from the refund due if there is NO FAULT present or NO FAULT found.  This restock fee / testing fee covers testing of the product once it arrives back. The buyer is liable to return the goods at their own cost in any case using a insured courier and packing the item its original box if possible.
Software is not covered under our warranty and if a specific function is not working because of software setup/driver issues then we reserve to charge a 20% restock fee. Only hardware faults  that are actually present when tested & confirmed by us will be mean no 20% restock fee and a refund of the purchase price will be made less the original delivery cost,  as this is non-refundable.  
1.2 Deliveries :
Customers are advised to sign for all goods "unchecked" when they receive the delivery. If the product arrives damaged then the customer must inform us within 24 hours as we need to submit a claim with the courier. Premier Computer Solutions (PCS)  will endeavour to replace goods/repair goods as soon as the damaged goods are returned back to us. There maybe an occasion where the courier may come and collect the goods for inspection from the customer should they arrive damaged. PCS will always send goods in suitable packing and marked FRAGILE where applicable. 

Goods are usually shipped on a 2 day working day delivery schedule from customer delivery notification and order acceptance confirmation. International orders may take extra time to be delivered. 

International Orders : Goods maybe subject to your destination countries import charge unless your delivery address is located in the EU/UK where goods are shipped with no import charges.
The customer is solely responsible for any import charges/tax charges payable before goods are delivered. The destination countries Customs Department may delay delivery until customs/import charges are paid by the customer. PCS is not responsible for any import/customs charges payable. International deliveries maybe delayed whilst the destination countries Customs Department process customs clearance for the goods. Once again PCS is not responsible for this delay. 
1.3 Warranty :
The stated warranty period is shown with the product for sale on the website. PCS offers upto 2 year warranties on products as standard. Extended warranties upto 5 years are available on request at time of purchase and at additional cost. Generally the warranty does not include consumable items such as laptop batteries and software / operating system issues. Only the hardware of the laptop is covered. Of course PCS will help the best they can with software/operating system issues. Batteries in our refurbished laptops may work or not. If you need battery life like new please inform us at time of purchase and an optional add on, the cost can be conveyed to you. Most batteries in refurbished laptops will give at least 1/2 hour or more run time but we do not guarantee this. All refurbished laptops are supplied with mains ac adapters. Goods returned under warranty may be inspected for  physical damage and if any damage/mis-use/liquid spillage is suspected then the warranty may be voided. Customers also are not allowed to upgrade products whilst in the warranty period as this will invalidate their product warranty with PCS. The warranty is non-transferable and is only applicable for the original named purchaser of goods. Proof of purchase including a invoice will be needed for any warranty claims. The customer whether they are local to the UK or based Internationally , are responsible for all delivery costs incurred, whilst under warranty if the goods need to be sent back to us for repair.
International customers are responsible for the full cost of delivery both sides, if goods need to sent back for repair whilst under warranty. 

Goods are shipped with UK specification power leads/plugs. International customers outside the UK may need adapter plugs. 

Goods sent for warranty repair will be handled as soon as possible. Its the customer responsibility to send goods back using their own courier , insured to the value of goods in case of loss or damage. Please pack the item well. Return delivery costs are payable from the customer , PCS will let you know the return shipping delivery cost once goods are repaired under warranty. If the customer fails to pay for return delivery cost / does not reply back to emails sent then PCS after 30 days has the right to dispose of the goods as they see fit. In these circumstances there will be NO REFUND issued. Its the customers liability to reply back to all emails PCS sends regarding warranty repair progress. 
If the returned goods have been damaged/lost by the customers chosen courier then its the customers liability to claim from the courier. PCS advises to use a suitable courier and NOT just the cheapest courier on the market
1.4 Goods Pre-Inspection and Cleaning
ALL goods are cleaned and fully tested/refurbished prior to dispatch to the customer, as soon as the payment is accepted and cleared. Refurbished does not mean PCS will replace consumable items such as laptop batteries even if they don't work.  Until payment is accepted and cleared the sale is not complete and PCS may refuse any order for any reason. The customer shall be kept fully informed if this case arises.
 
1.5 Security / Secure Online Website Ordering / Cookies Policy
PCS operates a fully secure and validated website www.premiercomputersolutions.co.uk. Please see "PADLOCK" symbol in the web browser website address above.

Customer data including credit/debit card transactions are transmitted and encrypted as to what the current digital security law dictates at time of online payment. PCS does not store any credit/debit details and the online order is fully secure end to end. Customers can set up a login account for future use and if this is the case,  cookies(stored internet data specific to the customer) are installed on the local computer system. Only customer address/name details are stored in these "cookies" and not any credit/debit card details. PCS uses highly secure payment systems from popular fully accredited third party providers, STRIPE and PAYPAL to process online payment when credit/debit cards are used to pay for an online order. Goods are are only shipped to the registered card billing address/seller protected eligible Paypal customer delivery address with no exceptions. The address the customer enters as a billing address is always verified with the card issuer at time on online payment transaction. ALL card details are checked including card billing address, three digit security code of card, etc. If for any reason these details are not returned verified and validated e.g matching the original card billing address, matching the security code of the card then PCS may refuse to process the order and it will be cancelled.


1.6 Prices on the website and changing conditions
Prices are subject to change without notice because of the rise in component prices and availability day-to-day. The advertised price on the website may change and if you place your order before the change in pricing, the difference maybe be payable extra as prices are volitile in the IT sector at the moment for components. If prices increase PCS will let you know. PCS endeavours to honour prices on the website but sometimes increase in component prices and labour prices are beyond our control. Prices maybe are subject to change without prior notice, even if the order has been placed prior.
Business

B2B business to business sales between PCS (Premier Computer Solutions) and a business (sole trader, limited company, PLC) have the same terms and conditions of trade as detailed in Section 1 above,  EXCEPT that the Distance Selling Act does not apply to B2B sales or business sales. For this event PCS offers a 7 day product return for a refund instead of 14 days afforded by the Distance Selling Act to consumers (general public customers). All the remaining Section 1 terms and conditions applicable apply to B2B sales regardless. 

Your statuary rights under UK law are not affected.

World Situation and possible increased prices because of unstable current world situation : From Year 2022 to 2026  
Premier Computer Solutions (PCS) complies fully to the UK Distance Selling Act where goods can be returned for a refund within 14 days of purchase. So buy with COMPLETE confidence. Customers can pay for orders securely online using PayPal which is a safer, easier way to pay or use their credit/debit card securely to pay for goods online. PCS only ships to the confirmed shipping address on PayPal and the confirmed billing address of the credit/debit card in order to prevent fraud. PCS ships to UK, Europe, EU and Worldwide. Any software/Operating system faults are not covered in the warranty. This includes Windows/MAC updates/or customer's adding their own software, etc.
Our warranty only applies to the actual hardware and not software/operating systems/updates, etc . Should a item develop a operating system error/non boot condition/non booting after a update/customer's own software installation then any re-installation is a charged for service.
All items and operating systems are fully tested before dispatch including 24 hour run cycles to make sure the item is FULLY TESTED!
Its your responsibility to fully understand and read Premier Computer Solutions online terms and conditions prior to purchase/ordering via the online website or telephone. By submitted your order online or by calling us and ordering via telephone,

PCS (Premier Computer Solutions) ships to the UK, UK (Islands, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the rest of the World).

PCS also ships to Europe and Worldwide including Australia, Ireland, USA, etc . Please note all customs charges(import) if applicable are the liability of the customer and must be paid in order for your item delivery to be made by the courier.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS 

These import charges are the customer's liability and if they are not paid in time and the goods returned back to us then NO REFUND is DUE on your order! Once you order you commit to any liability in the custom's charge you need to pay.  

As to the nature of global shipping at the moment 2023/2024 and onwards from the UK and the world situation with conflicts/wars , International deliveries sent from the UK may take much longer than usual as transit companies are taking goods on longer routes to destinations to avoid direct flights above war torn countries.  There is no service/delivery date guarantee situation for international orders.

ALL PCS can do is to send the goods in good faith via tracked delivery method but cannot be held liable if goods do not get delivered/take longer than usual. As soon the goods leave the UK , PCS has no liability and its the customer's own risk after the goods leave the UK for the destination country. Goods may be delayed or stuck in local customs and PCS has no responsibility in this scenario or liability. So all goods ordered internationally are at the buyers own risk. PCS provides photos of the tracking number and the actual item/shipping box to prove goods have been shipped from the UK. 

All goods are sold subject to these terms and conditions and customer's should read the terms especially international customer's before ordering. It is assumed ALL customer's read our term's conditions before ordering!

Customs ordering local in the UK are fully covered by the Distance Selling Act. Customer's who order internationally (EU and the rest of the the world are not covered by the UK Distance Selling Act)

If international orders do not arrive in a reasonable time  then the buyer can flle compensation with the courier company. But PCS are not liable if compensation is paid by the courier company or not. The liability for compensation is with the courier company and not PCS.  International customer's should read the courier companies own terms and conditions before submitting their order to PCS.


DUPLICATE INVOICES 

All orders are sent with the paper invoice in the box of the product. Its the customers liability to take the paper invoice from the box.

Where a duplicate invoice is required where the original one has been lost then a admin charge of £40 will apply for any duplicate invoice. Duplicate invoices are sent via email. 

All orders are subject to review/verification before acceptance and shipping. If for any reason your order cannot be shipped, PCS will contact you via email.
